Istanbul Kent University is a young and dynamic private university located in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey. Established in 2016 by the “Barrier-Free Education Foundation” (ENEV), it began its academic journey in the 2017–2018 academic year. The university’s vision is to offer modern, inclusive, and globally recognized education that focuses on innovation, ethics, and scientific inquiry.

Kent University operates mainly from its Taksim Campus, situated in a historic building that was once the German Hospital, reflecting a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary academic architecture. The building has been completely renovated to meet modern educational standards while preserving its historical charm. A second modern campus in Kağıthane, opened in 2022, expands the university’s infrastructure, featuring lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, cafés, fitness spaces, and workshops across a 14-floor complex.

The university hosts approximately 6,000–7,500 students, including a growing population of international students from over 18 countries. With its strategic location and vibrant academic environment, Istanbul Kent University aims to be a hub for intercultural education and research.

Istanbul Kent University comprises four main faculties: Dentistry, Health Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Art and Design. In addition, it has two vocational schools and a Graduate Institute offering Master’s and Doctoral programs.

The university emphasizes modern pedagogical methods, with a strong focus on hands-on learning, research, and global collaboration. Over 60 academic programs are available, ranging from associate to doctoral levels. Many undergraduate programs are offered in both Turkish and English, such as Business Administration, Psychology, Gastronomy, Political Science, Nursing, and Digital Game Design.

Research and innovation are fostered through several specialized laboratories and research centers, particularly in health sciences and dentistry. The university’s Dental Research and Application Center is known for its advanced training and treatment technologies and is recognized by the European Association for Dental Education.

Istanbul Kent University actively supports student exchange and mobility through the Erasmus+ Program, and maintains over 200 partnerships with universities across Europe. It also promotes double major and minor programs, providing students flexibility and multidisciplinary learning opportunities.

Campus life is vibrant and inclusive. There are over 24 student clubs, recreational facilities, a modern library, career services, counseling units, and a student affairs office. The Career Development and Application Center offers continuous support for internships and employment, ensuring graduates are competitive in the job market.

Undergraduate Admissions

• High school diploma (minimum 60% average is recommended)

• Passport copy and personal photo

• High school transcripts (translated to Turkish or English)

• English proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS) for English-medium programs or take university’s English exam

• Turkish-taught program students may require a Turkish proficiency certificate (TÖMER), unless they opt for a preparatory year

No SAT, ACT, or YÖS exam is required for admission.
